How do I get my BF, who is on the cusp of proposing, to actually do it? (Easy)?
I know he has the ring, since he asked one of my friends about what to get me, and there have been 3 attempts within the past week.
He gets really affectionate at first – lots of “I love you, baby” and then pointed looks until I say it back – and then we’ll go somewhere nice like a restaurant (first time), ice skating rink (2nd time) or park (3rd time) and he’ll be really awkward and shy and quiet and fiddle with his clothes or my hair or something and be like “So, I’ve been meaning to ask you….” and just stumble over his words for a few minutes and then say something lame like “if you want to go to so-and-so’s Christmas party or not.”
What the heck? I am NOT an intimidating person at all, so I don’t know why he can’t seem to ask me. It’s not like I’d say no! And it’s not like I can’t tell what he’s trying to do.
Is there anything I can do to encourage him?
nope, he’s going to do it in his own time. Maybe he’s waiting for Christmas
